About Me:

I strive to bring the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases to my patients. With extensive education and training in gastroenterology and continue medical education in gastroenterology, I can be sure to be current on the latest information in the areas of gastrointestinal diseases.

Biosketch:

Dr. Fan received his MD degree from Qingdao University Medical College in 1991. He subsequently took an M.S. degree in Molecular Biology at Beijing University Health Science Center, and then he immigrated to US and completed another M.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He was appointed as a faculty in Liver Diseases Division of Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York from 2000 to 2002. He then went to Weill Medical College of Cornell University affiliated teaching hospital, completed his internship and residency. After completing of his gastroenterology fellowship at University of Texas Medical Branch, and he then joined University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Fan is now the only board certified gastroenterologist in Palestine TX.
