Avanindra Jain, M.D. is board certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. His education and training include a degree in Physics, four years at the New York University School of Medicine and three years of general internal medicine training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1986 he accepted a fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He later established a private practice in San Antonio but relocated to Palestine in 2009.
Dr. Jain has special training and skill in finding, treating, and preventing diseases of the heart. He will evaluate and treat patients with angina, chest pain, congestive heart failure, heart attack, high cholesterol, hypertension, and stroke as well as heart rhythm disturbances. Many of the diagnostic cardiovascular tests such as stress testing and echocardiography are available at Magnolia Medical Plaza, thereby facilitating the patient's evaluation, increasing convenience, and reducing expense.
Dr. Jain and his wife Angi have two children, Brian and Brittany. Presently, the kids are attending college. Dr. Jain's personal interests are photography, travel and most of all, spending time with his family.
